Weekend Eats!

Monday, July 26, 2010

I love Summer weekends!! Especially when it comes to having some extra time to spend in the kitchen!

My mom picked some figs from one of her friends trees.   I sliced them in half and stuffed them with blue cheese and pecans, wrapped them in bacon, and baked them in the oven at 400 for about 15 minutes. They would be delicious appetizers served as is or we threw them on some mixed greens and made a balsamic vinaigrette.  Look how beautiful the fig halves are! Ryder LOVED them just plain and it made me happy to put something on his plate so pretty!!

What do you do with your Ashley Mac's frozen cookie dough? We baked them up and put some double chocolate chip ice cream in between!

Below....Ryder watching the rain while I made some waffles...The waffles....and finally, a pic from the hottest day EVER at Pepper Place!

What did you do/eat this weekend? Only 5 more days until we get to enjoy another one!!! woo hoo!!!
